I think like, like any other thing, nationalism carried to this extreme, will be very dangerous. Because then i the name of nationalism, you only think about your country, and don’t hesitate in destroying your so called enemy or neighbors, or whoever becomes obstructive. So in that sense, I think nationalism is very dangerous. But nationalism, in a more kind of moderate sense, in the sense of having this kind of patriotism, and wish to do something for your country, I think that kind of nationalism, I think, is very, very important. So ,because today we are living in a global world, where we are all holding to the face of each other to the speed of science and technology. So therefore, it is very important to see one’s nation in the context of the whole international community, not in isolation. |
